VINTAGE WALSALL FLAMEPROOF LAMPS

POLISHED ALUMINIUM, GLASS & STEEL FITTINGS

British made in the midlands by the 'Walsall' electric brand who specialised in heavy duty fittings for extreme environments circa 1960's/70's. These lamps feature a porcelain bulb holder fully enclosed within thick well glass protected by a galvanised cage. The bulb is accessed by unscrewing the double threaded brass holding nuts recessed below the shade.

Being watertight and on a scale suited to domestic use they are ideal in bathrooms and kitchens if correctly installed by a qualified electrician. Currently on conduit with ceiling mounting plate but can be supplied with a hook and chain.
