Little Mester bench with vintage school wire mesh pigeonholes.

Vintage shoe storage at its best.

When we manage to source original salvaged school galvanised wire pigeon holes we aim to sympathectically re-use them, incorporating them into a useful piece of furniture with a steel frame and a timber seat.

This is our 'Little Mester' bench, the name reflects our family's Sheffield heritage within the cutlery trade. 'Little Mesters' (including one of our great-grandfathers) were the self employed artisans who formed, sharpened and polished the raw steel into the finished pieces of cutlery.

This set of 14 compartment wirework pigeon holes is hung from a new box section steel frame and topped with a chunky piece of occluded oak. The depth of the bench is 30cm, height 45cm, length is 175cm to accomodate the wireworks (which are 1600mm long).

Little Mester is ideal for decluttering hallways, great when paired with a run of our coat hooks on back boards (timbers can be matched see image below).
