Antique Cottam & Co wall mounted saddle rack.

Sculptural, galvanised finish.

A shapely Cottam & Co saddle bracket or rack probably dating from the end of the 19th century. Established in the 1850's, Cottam & Co made stable requisites and architectural hardware from their iron works in Winsley Street, a stones throw from Oxford Street in the heart of Londons' west end.

The sculptural form of this saddle bracket promoted good air circulation to the underside of the saddle. The arched framework is in excellent condition due to it's galvanised finish, which we have lightly polished to highlight the makers name which appears in raised lettering.

It lends itself to displaying favourite items of clothing, at home in a hallway or in a retail environment. Several standard sized hangers fit comfortably underneath, hanging from the central bar, or scarves and ties could be looped over individual bars.

We also have a smaller bridle rack available with a rusty iron patina, ideal for smaller items such as belts or necklaces.
